Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid are still NOT “on the rocks,” in spite of a tabloid’s repeated insistence that the two are having relationship problems. Gossip Cop can exclusively shoot down this fake news story. A source close to the singer calls it “rubbish.”
For the second time in as many months, OK! maintains Malik and Hadid are about to split up. In its latest attempt, the magazine claims the singer’s anxiety issues are “taking a toll on his relationship with Gigi.” An alleged “insider” is quoted as telling the outlet “Zayn will still get incredibly worked up over every little thing, and it’s really wearing Gigi out.” The same so-called “insider” further contends the model feels “trapped” and that the “constant emotional turmoil” is going to lead her to dump him this summer.
It should be noted that the same tabloid asserted that Hadid was “on the rocks” with Zayn in April and were close to breaking up. That time around, the publication claimed Malik’s “wild” partying, which supposedly included “drinking” and “strippers,” was what was pushing his girlfriend to the edge. As we rightfully reported out then, the story was 100 percent wrong. And the latest “on the rocks” article is equally unfounded. If anything, Gossip Cop hears Hadid and Malik’s relationship is actually quite strong.
Two days ago, the former One Direction singer praised his relationship in interview with the Evening Standard, revealing that he and Hadid are a “normal couple” that likes to cook, watch TV and just laugh. And as for his anxiety, Malik told the British newspaper The Times, “I now have no problem with anxiety.” So, how exactly can OK! allege they’re “on the rocks” because of his “crippling anxiety”?
Either the publication keeps relying on an ill-informed “insider” or it’s possibly manufacturing this fake news. One way or the other, the magazine is wrong. Gossip Cop has reached out to the singer’s rep for comment. Meanwhile, a source close to Malik assures us the tabloid’s article is simply “rubbish.”
Gossip Cop believes there to be elements of truth, but the story is ultimately misleading.
