Are Victoria and David Beckham expecting their fifth baby? A tabloid cover story claims the singer-designer is pregnant. But Gossip Cop has exclusively learned this is untrue.
"Posh & Becks: Pregnant With Baby No. 5," blares the latest cover of OK! Australia. A so-called "insider" is quoted as saying in unnatural language, "Victoria is definitely preggers. She already has the preggo glow." Another similarly unnamed "insider" contends Victoria has "wanted a fifth baby since basically since right after [fourth child] Harper was born."
The magazine goes on to claim the couple have been dealing with marriage problems in recent years, but "now, with a baby on the way, things are certainly looking up." One of the untraceable sources asserts, "David's back on track, remembering the birth of his daughter and how happy he was. This pregnancy has really saved them. Victoria has never been happier or more in love."
Aside from these anonymous "insiders," the outlet's only proof the couple is expecting are recent photos of the Beckhams on vacation. Maintains the publication, "The fashion designer made sure to keep her tummy hidden from view. But David's PDA was a dead giveaway!" Yes, because the soccer player kissed his wife's stomach, the tabloid is claiming there was a "bump reveal." But when these pictures of the Beckhams aboard Elton John's yacht circulated days ago, no reputable outlets used them to suggest Victoria was pregnant and that David was smooching her blossoming baby belly.
Additionally, while the tabloid is suggesting she's hiding a baby bump, a photo of Victoria on Instagram from just a week ago shows that she's as petite as ever in her midsection. Furthermore, contrary to the claim that she has wanted another child since Harper was born in 2011, in 2015 Victoria said she was "done" having kids. "I've got four! I feel like I've done my bit," she insisted. In fact, earlier this year, OK! even claimed David was begging Victoria for more kids, but she was against it. Last month, however, the magazine suddenly changed course, claiming Victoria was the one begging David for another baby.
And now here is the publication, only weeks later, announcing a pregnancy. With the magazine's history in mind, a rep for the Beckhams tells Gossip Cop about this latest cover story, "Another week, endless rubbish." Indeed, and the outlet's "rubbish" hasn't been limited to baby storylines. The tabloid also often fixates on divorce narratives, such as claiming last December that the Beckhams were preparing to split after Christmas. Of course, that never happened, and time will now show that Victoria isn't pregnant, either.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
