One of this week’s tabloids claims Victoria Beckham has been experimenting with several bizarre beauty products in an effort to stay young looking. Gossip Cop can debunk the bogus story. We’re told it’s fabricated.

A headline in the latest issue of Star reads, “Posh’s Peculiar Beauty Routine.” The accompanying article quotes a so-called “insider” as saying, “Vic is always on the hunt for the fountain of youth and tries at least five concoctions a week – and most of them are disastrous.”

The outlet’s supposed source adds, “One Hong Kong investor got her to roll alligator intestines around her butt to promote firmness. Poor Vic vomited from the formaldehyde smell, and her butt looked the same. Ditto with the oatmeal injections to reduce finger wrinkles.” The tipster further alleges that the fashion designer tried putting pea oil on her face for two hours, but it left her face “green for a week” and “her kids pretended she was a goblin.”

The magazine’s absurd premise is coming from an anonymous and untraceable “insider,” but Gossip Cop ran the story by Beckham’s spokesperson, who laughed it off and assured us it’s untrue. Additionally, the beauty website Into The Gloss recently broke down Beckham’s entire beauty routine, which doesn’t include alligator intestines, oatmeal injections or pea oil.

The former singer revealed to the outlet all of the beauty products she uses, such as Bioderma face wipes, a moisture infusion mask, a lime acid peel and various moisturizers. All of the products she named can be found at any department store or beauty boutique. And earlier this year, Harper’s Bazaar published a story outlining Beckham’s skincare routine and anti-aging makeup tricks. The outlet even noted that the designer’s “skincare regime is surprisingly simple.”

Unfortunately, Gossip Cop frequently has to call out Star for publishing phony reports about the former Spice Girl. Earlier this year, we busted the tabloid for falsely claiming that Beckhmam was divorcing her husband David over a rumor he got their daughter’s teacher pregnant. Of course, the happy spouses are still together and the former soccer star didn’t cheat on his wife with a teacher.

The unreliable outlet clearly has no insight into Beckham’s personal life, and that includes her beauty regimen. The designer may use a wide array of skincare products, but there’s nothing “bizarre” about any of them. The magazine’s article has more in common with fan fiction than it does with journalism.
