Victoria Arlen Dancing With The Stars

Victoria Arlen rocked the ballroom again on Monday’s “Dancing With The Stars” with her paso doble routine to Queen’s “We Will Rock You.” She and partner Val Chmerkovskiy danced a hockey-themed routine to the uptempo tune on the episode devoted to “A Night At The Movies.” See the video below of their performance.

On last week’s show, Arlen again impressed the judges and audience alike with her jazz routine to the song “Steamboat Willie” from the Disney film of the same name. About her dance, Len Goodman said it was “full of joy” and “fabulous.” Bruno Tonioli loved how “effortless” and “beautiful” it was. And Carrie Ann Inaba praised how “absolutely in perfect sync” Arlen was with Chmerkovskiy. For their routine, the pair got a score of 27 out of a total of 30 points.

As Gossip Cop has previously noted, just a few years ago, Arlen lay in a vegetative coma from which few thought she would emerge. And when she did, the ESPN sportscaster was still paralyzed. Miraculously, over time she regained the use of her legs, though she still has no sensation in them.

Now, one would never know the obstacles Arlen overcame as she danced her paso doble on Monday. Following her dance, Tonioli exlcaimed, “I could see a proper paso doble All the steps were there… Well done!” Goodman added, “I liked the way you danced… Overall, it was a great job.” Inaba felt, “You were right on par [and] well-rehearsed.” And guest judge Shania Twain praised the routine for being very “creative.” For Arlen and Chmerovskiy’s dance, the two were awarded 31 out of 40 points.
