Vanessa Lachey and Maksim Chmerkovskiy did a quickstep on Monday’s “Dancing With The Stars” that was called “fantastic.” Their inspiration for the movie-theme episode was Smash’s “Let’s Be Bad.” At one point, though, part of Lachey’s dress fell off. See the video below of their routine.

As Gossip Cop reported last Monday, Lachey and Chmerkovskiy danced a waltz to “Un Jour Mon Prince Viendra” from the Disney film Snow White. Len Goodman noted that he “liked the choreography,” which he further called “beautiful.” Carrie Ann Inaba praised the routine’s “many stunning moments.” And Bruno Tonioli liked it as well, but few their was some minor faults. As a result, Lachey and Chmerkovskiy received a respectable 24 out of 30 points.

In the days leading up to Monday’s “A Night At The Movies” show, Chmerkovskiy took to Instagram to promise fans a special performance. On Thursday, alongside a black-and-white gif of them in top hats, he wrote, “We’re cookin a lil som special for this week on @dancingabc and I promise y’all won’t want to miss it!” And on Sunday, he captioned a picture of them rehearsing with a message that read noted their routine would be on “fire” and that fans “won’t want to miss it.” He also predicted their dance would be Lachey’s “absolute best of the season.”

So, did it live up to the pro’s hype? Even though Lachey had a wardrobe malfunction, Tonioli said, “You killed it.” Inaba remarked, “It was such a fantastic performance.” And Goodman praised it as well. Meanwhile, guest judge Shania Twain said, “I loved it.” For their dance, they got 36 out of 40 points. Check out the video below of Lachey and Chmerkovskiy’s quickstep to Smash’s “Let’s Be Bad.”
