Does Tristan Thompson really feel "dumped" by Khloe Kardashian? That's the illogical claim one tabloid is making this week while the couple has been inseparable in Los Angeles. Gossip Cop can explain what's going on with this clearly false story.
According to In Touch, Kardashian has been "devastated" by Thompson's infidelity and wants to keep some distance between them now that they're back in Los Angeles. That supposedly means not living together. "There obviously are trust issues now... She just doesn't think it's the right time for them to be moving in together," a so-called "source" is quoted as saying.
"He basically was dumped," alleges the magazine's purported tipster. The outlet even has a teaser on the front of its issue (see below) announcing, "It's Over! Khloe Dumps Tristan!" And on its website, the publication states in a headline, "Tristan Thompson Feels 'Dumped' After Khloe Kardashian Refuses To Let Him Move Into LA Home." Of course, feeling dumped and actually being dumped aren't exactly the same thing. But as it turns out, neither characterization is accurate.
As Gossip Cop noted above, the reality star and the athlete have been inseparable since returning to L.A. from Cleveland. On Monday, Kardashian and Thompson went to Nobu in Malibu before attending Dave Chappelle's show at the Peppermint Club. On Tuesday, they were photographed at a McDonald's drive-thru. Following that outing, People reported that Kardashian and Thompson are "in the best place they've been since the scandal." Then on Wednesday, the same day this story was published, they were seen having lunch at the restaurant Joey. On Thursday, Kardashian documented their joint workout session on social media.
And in an article on Friday about how Kardashian is "rebuilding" her romance with Thompson, E! Online reported, "She has not given up on their relationship." As for the "KUWTK" star forbidding the Cleveland Cavaliers player from staying at her home, "Entertainment Tonight" reports that though Thompson has in own residence in L.A., "the plan is to live together as a family at Khloe's home as they continue to work on their relationship." The outlet also noted that Kardashian's family has largely "forgiven" him.
It is readily apparent through all of this that Kardashian hasn't dumped Thompson and they aren't even remotely "over," so it makes absolutely no sense to allege he's feeling that way. He and the first-time mom have been together every day since returning to L.A., and he's even spent time with her siblings, as Kendall Jenner was also at the Chappelle show. Their long-term future may still be unclear, but it's obvious In Touch is off the mark with this report. That was the case in May, too, when the tabloid falsely alleged Kardashian was urging Thompson to propose and giving him a marriage ultimatum. Tellingly, nothing is said about that in this new story about her wanting to keep distance between them.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
