Tristan Thompson did not tell Khloe Kardashian to "ditch" her brother Rob Kardashian, despite a mean-spirited report. Gossip Cop can correct this inaccurate story.
RadarOnline is exclaiming on Monday, "Tristan Thompson Tells Khloe Kardashian: Ditch Your Loser Brother Rob!" The accompanying article similarly begins by alleging, "Tristan Thompson has given Khloe Kardashian a tough ultimatum - ditch your loser brother Rob Kardashian, or else!" The webloid claims the NBA player is "not a big fan of her troubled younger brother," and asserts "the latest Blac Chyna 'revenge porn' incident has only reinforced his opinion."
"Khloe's desperate to keep an eye on Rob, especially as he's borderline suicidal, and she was hoping Tristan would be game to join in the help plan. But let's just say Tristan isn't a fan," a so-called "insider" is quoted as saying. This supposed source further alleges to the site, "He sees Rob as an over privileged loser who's draining his family dry, and it would be hard to get anyone to disagree."
Ouch. But if Thompson truly feels that way about Rob, why has he spent time with him in the wake of the aforementioned "incident"? Khloe has posted multiple Snapchats in the last few weeks about the trio hanging out, and even working out, together. It's telling that none of that is mentioned in the outlet's story. E! also quoted its own source nearly two weeks ago as saying, "Tristan doesn't mind having Rob around at all. He loves all of Khloe's family."
In fact, Gossip Cop is told that the athlete realizes Khloe is part of a package deal: With her also comes her family. And that's why, when he threw her a surprise birthday party last month, he included her friends and relatives. There can be friction and boundary issues at times, just as in any relationship, and it is always possible Thompson will decide he doesn't want to be entangled with such a large, famous family. But right now, we hear no such "ultimatum" to "ditch" Rob has been issued, and Khloe and Thompson continue to move in the right direction.
Of course, RadarOnline has already proven it's not a reliable Kardashian source. More than a year ago, Gossip Cop busted the webloid for conflicting reports about Khloe "still hooking up" with Lamar Odom, but wanting to date women. More recently, in late May, we called out the site for its fake news about Khloe adopting Rob's daughter. Notably, that huge allegation isn't referenced anywhere in this new article about being forced to choose between her boyfriend and her brother.
Gossip Cop believes there to be elements of truth, but the story is ultimately misleading.
