Tony Awards Live Stream 2017

(Tony Awards)

The 2017 Tony Awards take place in New York City on Sunday. Watch the live stream below!

The 71st annual Tonys are back at Radio City Music Hall after a stint last year at the Beacon Theatre. While the ceremony won’t air on CBS until 8 p.m. Eastern, the festivities are kicking off hours earlier. The American Theatre Wing and Broadway League have put together a “Facebook Live of epic proportions” that “invites people across the globe to share, celebrate, and bond over how #TheatreInspires.”

During the online-only special, fans will see “exclusive footage of performers backstage,” along with “content from over 30 shows—long-running favorites, hits from this season, and shows to come in 2017–2018.” Organizers promise “the entire Broadway community will band together in a whole new way.” And that’s just the appetizer to the main event.

Kevin Spacey will host the Tony Awards for the first time, taking over for James Corden, who emceed last year’s show. Along with handing out awards in 24 categories, the star-studded event will be jam-packed with performances from the biggest productions and stars on Broadway. That includes Josh Groban taking the stage with a number from Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812, and Ben Platt giving viewers a taste of Dear Evan Hansen.

Presenters will include current and former theater faces, along with celebrities from the big and small screens. Among those slated to take part are Josh Gad, Taraji P. Henson, Olivia Wilde, John Legend, Tina Fey, Orlando Bloom, Stephen Colbert, Whoopi Goldberg and last year’s big winner, Lin-Manuel Miranda. Gossip Cop will have coverage all night.
