HollywoodLife is purporting have the “exclusive” scoop on how Tom Hiddleston will be “crushed” if Taylor Swift disses him on her upcoming album, Reputation. Gossip Cop, however, can expose this made-up story.

The untrustworthy webloid says the actor is nervous about his short-lived 2016 romance with the singer being addressed in her new music, and is particularly nervous she’ll use her lyrics to slam him. A supposed “source” tells the site, “Tom will be crushed if Taylor says anything negative about him on this album. He knows their relationship will probably be referenced somehow, and he accepts that as long as it’s done in a caring and positive way.”

The unreliable webloid’s “insider” goes on to say Hiddleston is ultimately hopeful that his ex-girlfriend won’t disparage him in any of her songs, but he’s “a sensitive guy and will be very hurt if she lets him down.” The alleged insider adds, “He’s not expecting her to do anything to hurt him, he still thinks the world of her and believes the feeling is mutual.”

But Gossip Cop checked in with a mutual pal of ours and Hiddleston, who exclusively assures us that no one in the actor’s trusted inner circle spoke to HollywoodLife about his thoughts on Swift’s upcoming album. The webloid either has very unreliable sources or fabricated these quotes on its own, but we’re told they didn’t come from anyone in the actor’s camp.

In fact, the webloid seems to simply be capitalizing on the announcement about Swift’s new album by creating bogus stories involving various celebrities with whom she shares a history. Gossip Cop recently busted the site for concocting a phony narrative about Beyonce being “excited” for Swift to diss Kim Kardashian in her new music. We also called out the webloid for a similarly made-up story about Selena Gomez being “excited” for Swift’s album. The site’s latest article is yet another attempt at exploiting the release of the singer’s new music with fake reports.
