A new tabloid report claims that moms at a local playground in London form a line to talk to Tom Hardy when he’s there with his children. But the entire article about the mothers hitting on Hardy is false. Gossip Cop looked into the story, and we’re told it’s “fabricated.”

According to Star, the British actor is a “legend” among the moms who regularly spot him at a local park near his home in south London. In its seemingly manufactured report, a so-called “source” is quoted as saying, “When Tom is at the playground, a huge crowd of giggly ladies forms around him. Women are pretty much lining up to meet him.” The outlet’s questionable “insider” goes on to allege that the star “hates the attention,” but “feels obligated to chat them all up.”

The tabloid’s supposed “insider” further asserts that the “hugely private A-Lister” jokes “he gets less attention walking through Hollywood than he does at the park, but it’s actually the truth.” Ironically, there’s no truth whatsoever to the publication’s latest report. Even though Hardy is popular among moms, having appeared on a children’s show in the U.K. to read bedtime stories, swarms of giggling women don’t form a line to talk to the actor at his local playground in London. A rep for Hardy tells Gossip Cop the story is “completely fabricated.”

It should be noted, this isn’t the first time a tabloid has published an untrue report about the Dark Knight Rises actor. Gossip Cop corrected the outlet’s sister publication, OK!, when it falsely alleged in 2016 that Harry Styles was bullied by Hardy on the set of Dunkirk. This latest article about the star being hit on by a group of swooning moms when he goes to the park with his children is similarly inaccurate.
