A new report claiming Katie Holmes "doesn't care" if Tom Cruise is "furious over" her romance with Jamie Foxx is simply a pile of lies. It's the latest fake news story manufactured by HollywoodLife, a site that has repeatedly been shown to publish made-up articles. Gossip Cop can once again expose the outlet for fabricating yet another tall tale.
The often discredited outlet begins by asserting Holmes "isn't afraid of upsetting [Cruise] anymore." It goes on to claim that Holmes is "ready to take [her and Foxx's] romance out of the shadows." A seemingly fictitious "source close to Katie" is then quoted telling the blog that Holmes is "desperate to live her own life, and she is no longer worried about Tom's feelings anymore... Katie feels she has been more than respectful of Tom's privacy and the time has come for her to move on with her life." The almost assuredly made-up "source" adds, "Katie can't help it if Tom is still hung-up on her actions or love life. She is happy to finally be living outside of Tom's shadow and does not care what he thinks or how he feels about her life anymore."
Gossip Cop will stop here before debunking more of this nonsense from HollywoodLies, which has earned its nickname as a result of its practice of concocting phony articles. For starters, no one "close to Katie" is talking to that untrustworthy site. End of story. Additionally, as well-documented, Cruise cut himself off from Holmes not long after she left the Church of Scientology. They have had very little to do with one another since splitting more than a half decade ago, and Holmes hasn't been concerned about Cruise's personal life nor he with hers.
Basically, the entire premise about how Holmes "doesn't care" if Cruise is "furious over" her relationship with Foxx is a flagrant lie. And from his perspective, Gossip Cop is assured that Cruise is not "furious." Actually, he's entirely disinterested. Bottom line: Cruise's ex-wife's personal life doesn't affect him one way or the other.
HollywoodLies then fills out the rest of its fan fiction by having its dubious "source" maintain that Holmes is "happy to take her affair out of hiding." The alleged insider claims, "Katie is ready to be more public" with Foxx. This, too, is a complete falsehood. Holmes and Foxx see each other occasionally, but they have never gone public, so the idea of them becoming "more public" is an absurdity. All these tales are based on them taking a walk on a Malibu beach, during which they were photographed by hiding paparazzi, who used telescopic lenses to capture a private moment.
Notwithstanding, don't expect to see Cruise weighing in on how supposedly "furious" he is. Don't expect to hear Holmes saying she "doesn't care" what Cruise thinks. Don't expect to witness "more public" encounters between Foxx and Holmes. And it's probably best not to expect accurate accounts of what's really going on between Holmes and Foxx because HollywoodLife traffics in fake news stories about them.
Among the other falsehoods churned out by HollywoodLies this past week included the fictitious claim that Cruise feels "betrayed" by Foxx and Holmes. Gossip Cop also busted the untrustworthy webloid for manufacturing an untrue tale about how Holmes and Foxx came out because they were "tired of living a lie." And we also exposed the site for making up a story about Foxx being "like a father" to Holmes' daughter Suri and how they've grown "very close." As Gossip Cop exclusively reported, Foxx insiders assured us he's never even met Suri. Whoops.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
