There have been countless tabloid stories about Tom Cruise coming between Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx's relationship. The ongoing saga is fabricated. Here are five wrong rumors about the trio.
In February, Gossip Cop called out Life & Style for falsely claiming that Cruise was angry about Holmes and Foxx having a baby together. Of course, the movie star wasn't upset over a nonexistent scenario. When the bogus story first emerged, a rep for Foxx assured us it was untrue. As time has proven, the actress never gave birth to the actor's child.
Also in February, Gossip Cop busted OK! Australia for alleging that the reason Holmes and Foxx went public with their romance is because her "love contract" with Cruise ended. The magazine contended that when Cruise and Holmes divorced in 2012, the actress signed a contract that prohibited her from publicly dating for five years. Not only did a source close to the actress assure us she never agreed to such a stipulation, but the Huffington Post also described Holmes' so-called "marriage contract" as an "urban legend."
In January, Gossip Cop debunked a similar story from the American version of OK!, which claimed that Cruise was "upset" about Holmes and Foxx going public with their relationship. The magazine said that Cruise "used to consider Jamie a friend" and wasn't happy about the actor dating his ex-wife. In reality, the movie star isn't concerned with Holmes' love life. It's been widely reported that Cruise has been estranged from Holmes and their daughter Suri for several years. Additionally, a source within in Cruise's camp also assured us the report was made-up.
Gossip Cop also busted Star in January for wrongly reporting that Holmes and Foxx were "at war" with Cruise because he was trying to sabotage their romance. The publication went on to say that the actress became so fed up with her ex-husband "harassing her" that she called to confront him. The outlet provided zero specifics of what Cruise was doing to "harass" his ex-wife and "sabotage" her relationship. As noted above, the movie star has no relationship with her anymore. Regardless, a rep for Holmes confirmed that the two never had a battle over her romance with Foxx.
And finally, Gossip Cop called out RadarOnline last year for falsely claiming that Foxx reached out to Cruise to "beg his forgiveness" for dating Holmes. The magazine said that Foxx called up his Collateral co-star to "clear the air," "make amends" and put the drama behind them. Only, a Cruise confidante told us the actor had no involvement in his ex-wife's dating life, while a source close to Foxx called the article a "complete fabrication."
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
