Tom Cruise did not hire a dating coach to help him land a girlfriend, despite a completely made-up report. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk this nonsense. We're told there's no truth to it.
According to the National Enquirer, the movie star has lost his self-esteem following three divorces and a string of failed romances. To solve the problem, Cruise has supposedly turned to a love guru for guidance. An alleged insider tells the magazine, "He's getting all kinds of tips on how to approach a woman and charm her."
The outlet's questionable source continues, "Tom is totally over the top, and his intensity can be off-putting to women. Tom's been unlucky in love. His dates just don't pan out, and even Tom must realize he's doing something wrong." The seemingly nonexistent tipster adds, "Tom could use some serious pointers on how to approach a woman and, most important, keep her happy."
Despite how ridiculous this all sounds, Gossip Cop still checked in with a source close to Cruise, who laughed off the tabloid's story before assuring us it's "not true." The movie star has kept his love life private since his 2012 divorce from Katie Holmes, but he hasn't turned to a professional coach for help. This piece of fiction was seemingly written simply because the actor chooses not to publicize his relationships these days.
Also, this would hardly be the first time Gossip Cop has had to debunk a bogus story surrounding the movie star's love life. We recently called out the publication for falsely claiming Cruise was romancing fellow Scientologist Elisabeth Moss. Prior to that, Gossip Cop debunked the magazine's account of Cruise's "secret romantic meetings" with Angelina Jolie.
Cruise has also been wrongly linked to several of his leading ladies over the past few years. Gossip Cop has previously corrected rumors about the movie star dating The Mummy co-star Annabelle Wallis. We've also shot down claims about him being romantically involved with two of his Mission: Impossible - Fallout co-stars, Rebecca Ferguson and Vanessa Kirby.
Additionally, it was wrongly reported that the actor got rejected by Sienna Miller after asking the actress out to dinner. The tabloids clearly have very little insight into Cruise's personal life. This latest article surrounding the movie star's nonexistent dating coach is just another example.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
