Tom Bergeron, the host of “Dancing With The Stars,” mocked a story published by The Globe which claimed the reality dancing show is “rigged.” The television host took to Twitter on Sunday to make fun of the bogus tabloid report.

Alongside a photo of Bergeron reading The Globe’s blatantly inaccurate headline, which unashamedly reads, “Explosive Globe Investigation Reveals: ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Is Rigged!” the host joked, “Getting some reading in while the car is being washed. And before I meet the space aliens who kidnapped Elvis!” Numerous fans responded to Bergeron’s tweet, with one particularly amused “DWTS” viewer writing, “The headline cracks me up. How do these rags get away with publishing this crap?” We completely agree.

Of course, this isn’t the first time an outlet has published a bogus story about the dancing competition being supposedly rigged. Remember, Gossip Cop corrected the National Enquirer, The Globe’s sister publication, for falsely alleging in 2016 that Laurie Hernandez’s winning of “Dancing With The Stars” was rigged. We even called out RadarOnline for wrongly claiming that Ryan Lochte, a contestant on season 23 of the show, believed “Dancing With The Stars” was rigged because he received a low score. As we rightly asserted in both stories, the competition isn’t and never has been “rigged.” The repetitive notion is nothing more than a fabrication.

After weeks of live shows and numerous eliminations, the final four couples are set to battle it out during tonight’s “Dancing With The Stars” season 25 finale. Jordan Fisher and Lindsay Arnold, Frankie Muniz and Witney Carson, Drew Scott and Emma Slater and Lindsey Stirling and Mark Ballas are all vying for this season’s coveted Mirrorball Trophy.

As Gossip Cop reported, Victoria Arlen and Val Chmerkovskiy were the ninth pair to be eliminated from the show last week, just missing out on the competition’s final week despite their relatively impressive scores. Gossip Cop, of course, will have full coverage of both Monday and Tuesday’s “DWTS” final shows.
