A new report claiming The Weeknd is planning an "epic" marriage proposal that will "blow" Selena Gomez's mind is entirely made-up. Gossip Cop can correct this fabrication. We're told the story is "made-up."
According to HollywoodLife, which is regularly caught peddling fake news stories about the couple, The Weeknd and Gomez "may be getting married soon." A so-called "source" tells the unreliable site, "After just a few weeks of dating, The Weeknd already knew that he and Selena had something super special. Abel's been in love before... but his feelings for Selena are in a whole other league." Now, maintains the outlet's alleged insider, "[The Weeknd] wants to plan a proposal that's going to blow Selena's mind."
The blog's supposed tipster adds that it's been "stressful" for months because of Gomez's kidney transplant, but now that the "worst is over," The Weeknd can "concentrate on how, when and where to propose." It's interesting the site would say use the words that it does because, as Gossip Cop has noted before, Gomez herself has called HollywoodLife "the worst" because of its habit of fabricating stories about her.
Curiously, HollywoodLies, as it's nicknamed, claims to know that The Weeknd is planning an "epic" proposal, but it has no idea about how, when or where. That's possibly because the site has once again concocted an epic lie. In fact, Gossip Cop has busted the outlet an epic number of times for its fake news about the couple. Just a couple of days ago, we exposed the site for shamelessly expositing the tragic Las Vegas shooting to allege Gomez feared for The Weeknd's safety while he's on tour. Much like that inaccurate article and others about how Gomez was going to celebrate her birthday with The Weeknd, the latest report is equally untrue.
While The Weeknd and Gomez could ostensibly marry one day, the outlet's new story is nothing more than guesswork, at best. A source close to the situation tells Gossip Cop the article is "made-up." As often noted, no one in their trusted inner circle is feeding HollywoodLies with information about their relationship.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
