The Weeknd isn’t jealous of Selena Gomez co-starring in a movie with Jude Law, despite a completely bogus new report alleging the singer isn’t happy about his girlfriend working with the handsome British actor. Gossip Cop looked into the supposed drama and we can exclusively set the record straight.

Gomez is currently shooting Woody Allen’s latest film alongside Law, and an article posted on OK!’s website now says her boyfriend is worried the two could develop an on-set romance. An alleged “source” tells the magazine, “Selena is really excited about working with one of her favorite directors and her crush Jude Law. But The Weeknd’s been a real pill about it. She’s annoyed that he doesn’t seem to trust her.”

The outlet’s dubious insider goes on to say The Weeknd has been looking at his girlfriend’s phone to see if she’s getting texts from her co-star, adding, “Everything’s been going great in their relationship but this jealousy of his is getting on her nerves.” Of course, the tabloids constantly recycle this phony narrative about a celebrity being jealous of their significant other’s co-star, so Gossip Cop was hesitant to believe this latest article. Our doubts were confirmed after checking in with a trustworthy source close to the situation, who exclusively assures us The Weeknd isn’t concerned about his girlfriend’s working relationships. This is simply a non-issue.

In fact, this isn’t the first time Gossip Cop has had to call out OK! for concocting a bogus story surrounding the pop star’s involvement in Allen’s upcoming movie. We recently busted the publication for alleging Gomez was “caught” kissing a “mystery man” behind her boyfriend’s back. But the so-called “mystery man” was her co-star Timothee Chalamet, who she kissed while shooting a scene for the film. Shortly before that nonsense, the magazine wrongly accused Gomez of being a “stage 5 clinger” whose suppose neediness was driving The Weeknd away. There was no truth to either of those stories, and this latest one is equally false.
