The Weeknd performed “Earned It” at the 2016 Oscars on Sunday. Watch below!

“Earned It” was released in late 2014 as the lead single from the Fifty Shades Of Grey soundtrack. On the song, which The Weeknd co-wrote, he sings about devotion to a woman. The track’s music video was helmed by Fifty Shades of Grey director Sam Taylor-Johnson, and featured the movie’s star Dakota Johnson.

The Weeknd also included “Earned It” on his critically-acclaimed second album, Beauty Behind The Madness. The silky and seductive ballad found success on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number three, but going all the way to number one on the Mainstream Top 40, Rhythmic, and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs charts. It won Best R&B Performance at the Grammys earlier this month, but lost in the categories of Best R&B Song and Best Song For Visual Media.

The latter is essentially what The Weeknd is now nominated for at the Oscars, with the category called Best Original Song. He and some of his fellow nominees, namely Lady Gaga and Sam Smith, were invited to perform for the Academy Awards’ star-studded audience. And it’s The Weeknd’s fourth big performance this month.

He took the stage at the Grammys, sang on “The Tonight Show” with Lauryn Hill, and performed at the Brits just last week. Check out video of The Weeknd’s Oscars performance below! NOTE: The video is no longer available.
