A new report alleging to know how The Weeknd supported Selena Gomez after her kidney transplant is entirely made-up. Gossip Cop can expose this latest lie. We're told it's nothing more than a fabrication.
As Gossip Cop reported, lupus sufferer Gomez underwent a kidney transplant earlier this summer, having received the organ from her close friend Francia Raisa. The singer-actress opened up about her life-saving procedure on Instagram, sharing a picture of herself and Raisa in hospital beds. She wrote in the accompanying caption, "I'm very aware some of my fans had noticed I was laying low for part of the summer and questioning why I wasn't promoting my new music." Gomez added, "I found out I needed to get a kidney transplant due to my Lupus and was recovering. It was what I needed to do for my overall health."
In its latest concoction, the perpetually disproven HollywoodLife claims to have been told by a "Gomez" insider how her boyfriend has been her "source of strength" throughout the difficult ordeal. There's no question he was supportive. But what the aptly nicknamed HollywoodLies maintains a tipster told them is nothing more than a collection of re-worded remarks made by other outlets and obvious statements.
The site quotes its so-called "source" as saying, "[The Weeknd] stepped up to the plate and was solid as a rock." The seemingly manufactured "insider" continues, "He's supporting her every way he can." "His love and support has really helped her get strong after her transplant. He's been a huge part of why she's bounced back so fast," adds the non-insightful insider.
Of course, none of those alleged comments provide any details about special things The Weeknd may have done for Gomez. They're just platitudes. It appears the repeatedly discredited site is simply shamefully trying to capitalize on Gomez's health issue with plausible, though not exclusive information.
Regardless, a real source close to Gomez assures Gossip Cop the article is 100 percent "fabricated." Most assuredly, The Weeknd was supportive throughout the Gomez's life-changing ordeal, but clearly no one is telling HollywoodLies anything exclusive. The webloid is simply copying what has been reported by other outlets, before adding its own phony angle in the name of online traffic.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
