The Top 4 on “The Voice” season 12 was revealed on Tuesday after a huge results show led to the elimination of half the remaining contestants. Find out who made the Final Four and who was sent home below!

As Gossip Cop reported, the Top 8 competed in the semifinals on Monday’s two-hour broadcast. All the artists had to give two performances: A solo song, as always, and a duet collaboration with a competitor. Several of the aspiring stars subsequently had a strong showing on iTunes. When voting closed midday Tuesday, Lauren Duski’s “Ghost In This House” ranked number one, while Chris Blue placed second with “Take Me To The King.” He and duet partner Vanessa Ferguson also made it to number six together, while Aliyah Moulden and Hunter Plake individually hit the seventh and ninth positions, respectively.

That was very good news for five artists, as placing in the top 10 on the iTunes singles chart gives contestants a “bonus” atop of their regular vote total. But with only four slots for next week’s finale, someone was going to be left heartbroken. Actually, make that multiple someones, as Brennley Brown, Jesse Larson and TSoul were still in the running, too, regardless of their iTunes showings.

So, here’s how it was determined: The three highest vote-getters were automatically on to the finals. They were Blue, Duski, and Moulden. Because they earned the lowest amount of votes, TSoul and Ferguson were automatically eliminated. That left the three that fell in the middle, Larson (Team Adam), Plake (Team Gwen) and Brown (Team Gwen) to compete for the Instant Save in hopes of winning that last spot in the Top 4.

Brown performed first, singing “Warrior.” Plake followed with “Love Runs Out.” And Larson went last, performing “Tennessee Whiskey.” After that, a five-minute voting window opened up for viewers to tweet which artist they’d like to move on to the final round of the competition. And LARSON WON! That meant the journey was over for Brown and Plake, both of whom who were previously considered among this season’s frontrunners.

To recap, now competing in next week’s season 12 finale are Jesse Larson (Team Adam), Chris Blue (Team Alicia), Lauren Duski (Team Blake) and Aliyah Moulden (Team Blake). While that means Blake Shelton has a 50 percent chance of winning, his girlfriend Gwen Stefani will not be represented in the finals at all due to this heartbreaking double elimination after losing the Instant Save. Gossip Cop will have full coverage next Monday and Tuesday.
