The Voice Results December 12 2017

“The Voice” had its biggest results show of season 13 on Tuesday, revealing the Top 4 finalists with the last Instant Save. Find out who’s in the finale and who was eliminated below!

As Gossip Cop reported, the Top 8 all performed live on Monday’s show. They each had to sing twice, doing a solo song and a duet with a fellow contestant. They were competing for just four spots in next week’s finals, meaning half of them would be going home tonight no matter how the coaches felt. The iTunes rankings at the close of voting at noon Tuesday seemed to indicate some favorites. Chloe Kohanski’s “I Want To Know What Love Is” performance reached number one on the singles chart, while Addison Agen’s “Both Sides Now” cover took second.

Meanwhile, Kohanski and Noah Mac’s duet placed third, Red Marlow hit fifth and Brooke Simpson ranked sixth. Mac’s solo song also took seventh, giving him two pivotal spots on the list. For being within the top 10, all received the bonus multiplier applied to their vote totals. But that didn’t necessarily guarantee any of them a slot in the final four.

As host Carson Daly explained, only the top three vote-getters overall would be deemed safe and through to the finale. The bottom two vote-getters would be automatically eliminated. Then the three in the middle would have to compete for the Instant Save, with only one winning the remaining position in the Top 4. The others would be heartbreakingly out of the NBC competition just before the last round.

So, how did it all shake out? The three who earned enough votes to move forward were Kohanski, Agen and Simpson. On the other end of the spectrum, Keisha Renee and Davon Fleming were given the boot. That left Adam Cunningham (Team Adam), Mac (Team JHud) and Marlow (Team Blake) battling for the Instant Save. That part worked as normal, with the artists each getting a chance to sing once more in hopes of being saved and avoiding the brutal cut. Marlow went first, performing “Dixieland Delight.” Cunningham was next with “Here’s A Quarter (Call Someone Who Cares).” And with “Sign Of The Times,” Mac followed.

The 5-minute Twitter voting window then opened up for fans to tweet which singer should be the last finalist. And MARLOW WON! Sadly, that meant Mac and Cunningham were going home. Now for next week’s finals, Blake Shelton has a 50 percent chance of being the winning coach with both Marlow and Kohanski in the running. Adam Levine has Agen representing him, and Simpson is Miley Cyrus’ first-ever finalist. Surprisingly, with Mac’s elimination, Jennifer Hudson doesn’t have any contenders, despite winning “The Voice UK” earlier this year. Gossip Cop, of course, will have full coverage next week.
