The View Healthcare Bill Passed

On Friday’s “The View,” the co-hosts reacted to the House passing the controversial healthcare bill. Watch the video below.

As Gossip Cop reported, on Thursday House Republicans passed the American Healthcare Act, which was designed to replace Obamacare. It now has to pass in the Senate before Donald Trump can sign it into law. But the legislation is under fire by Democrats, who opposed the bill, and some Republicans are admitting they didn’t even read the text before voting for it.

On the ABC talk show, it was pointed out that Paul Ryan in 2009 was against passing healthcare bills before reading and investigating the costs. Whoopi Goldberg then showed video of “Ryan’s Republican friends” now essentially confirming they did just that. That led Joy Behar to declare, “They can run but they can’t hide because in 2018 we’re going to get them.”

Sara Haines questioned who was really “benefitting” from the passage “if so many people are disappointed.” She argued, “They quickly passed this just for a [win], and everyone’s pissed off now.” Jedediah Bila even said Trump himself “hasn’t read the bill either.” And though she’s a conservative, she admitted the legislation doesn’t meet her standards.

“Any Republican who supports this who calls themselves a conservative should be embarrassed,” Bila insisted. Deion Sanders, who was a guest co-host for “Guy Day Friday,” brought up concerns about pre-existing conditions and affordability. That actually led Goldberg to leave her seat so she could point out on the screen behind them some of the medial issues that are deemed problematic, such as post-partum depression.

Behar then exclaimed, “You know what’s interesting? You know what’s not a pre-existing condition? Erectile dysfunction, and they all have it.” Goldberg also sarcastically thanked these “former” congressmen, arguing, “because basically, if you can’t read, take the time to read and gut something you don’t like, I don’t think you even know what Obamacare is.”

Both women hoped constituents will take action, with Sanders pointing out, “You don’t get concerned until it truly affects you.” Check out the videos below.
