On Thursday’s “The View,” the co-hosts slammed Donald Trump for meeting with Russian officials as well as for the fallout of his firing from James Comey. Watch the video below.

As Gossip Cop reported, “The View” panelists reacted to Trump firing Comey on Wednesday’s show. Now on the new episode, Whoopi Goldberg kicked off the live broadcast by saying there’s conflicting claims about what led the president to ax the FBI director. The White House pointed the finger at the deputy attorney general Rod Rosenstein, but he not only denied his involvement, but also threatened to resign over the false allegation.

Sunny Hostin remarked over the situation, “It’s crazy. It feels like the story’s unraveling. I think they were very unprepared for all the questioning.” Sara Haines was in favor of Rosenstein resigning to prove a point, saying, “I think that would speak very loudly.” But Hostin also wondered if Comey would speak out after Trump claimed that he was told three times he wasn’t under investigation.

“I would be surprised that he would let that lay out there because that would call his integrity into question,” the former prosecutor said of Comey. Listening to the concerns, Goldberg asked, “Does this feel like a coup? It just feels like a coup.” Joy Behar agreed that “things are changing,” and suggested voters are turning on Trump. But she was most enraged by the president meeting with the Russian Foreign Minister and ambassador on Wednesday, with only Russian state media present.

“Guess who’s missing from that room? The American press,” Behar said, going on to angrily exclaim, “This is treason to me. This is un-American, unpatriotic. Americans should be furious.” Goldberg went on to urge, “Let’s pay less attention to who’s going to leave and not leave [and more on] who’s taking up this inquest about these Russian ties.”

Commented Jedediah Bila, “It’s exhausting. He’s exhausting. There’s all this stuff. Some of it’s he said, she said. But for me, you’re seeing the personality of the man… He thinks he’s still on a television show [saying ‘you’re fired’], but you’re president now and you’re accountable to us.” Check out the video below.
