On Wednesday’s “The View,” the co-hosts slammed Donald Trump for endorsing Roy Moore, even though the Alabama Senate candidate is accused of being a pedophile. Watch the video below.

After remaining silent for days after multiple women came forward to allege Moore sexually assaulted and harassed them when they were teens, Trump indicated on Tuesday that the Republican nominee has his support. The president told reporters, “He denies it. Look, he denies it. If you look at all the things that have happened over the last 48 hours, he totally denies it. He says it didn’t happen. And look, you have to look at him also.” Trump further said, “We don’t need a liberal person in there, a Democrat, [opponent Doug] Jones. I’ve looked at his record. It’s terrible on crime. It’s terrible on the border. It’s terrible on military. I can tell you for a fact we do not need somebody who’s going to be bad on crime, bad on borders, bad for the military, bad for the Second Amendment.”

Trump’s comments were a departure from a number of other Republicans who have called for Moore to drop out of the race. Now on the ABC talk show, Whoopi Goldberg introduced the clip of his remarks by saying “the former reality show star in the White House” has “broken his silence” on Moore and the race. After watching the footage, Behar said of the president pointing to Moore’s denials, “That’s good enough for him.” Commented Goldberg, “All you have to do is deny it because that’s what he did and I guess you’re in the clear… I guess all women are liars.”

Behar showcased the cover of the right-leaning New York Post, which had the Trump headline, “I’m With The Perv!” She observed, “It shows you that perversion is bipartisan.” Remarked Sunny Hostin, “I can understand why he needs a Republican in that seat. He needs to pass this tax bill because he’s been so ineffective up til this month. But you would think he would put principle before partisanship.” Goldberg was skeptical, exclaiming, “Really, you really think that?!”

“I do,” replied Hostin. “It has to come from the top.” The moderator responded, “Have you not been watching the last 11 months? We all want better, but c’mon.” Goldberg then showed a clip of Moore talking in July about first seeing his future wife at a dance recital. At the time, she was 15 while he was 29. Cracked Behar, “We don’t even want to go to a recital.” Echoed Sara Haines, “I was just going to say, what’s he doing at a recital?” And referring to reports that said Moore was banned from a local mall years ago over his allegedly predatory behavior, Behar frustratingly stated, “Now teenagers are safer at the Alabama mall than they are at the Senate. That’s the story here… I hope Alabama steps up and doesn’t vote for him. I’m really begging Alabama right now. Don’t do it.”

Goldberg further said of Trump and his supporters, “If all you want is to pass legislation, the message you’re sending out to your daughters and your wives is, ‘It doesn’t matter if somebody grabs you in the crotch, it doesn’t matter if someone comes on to you when they’re 100 and you’re 4. It doesn’t matter. We want the tax credit. We don’t care. We want the tax credit more than anything else.’ If that sits well with you all, then you got your dude. If that doesn’t sit well with you, maybe you have to make some adjustments.”

She went on to note that some have tried to excuse Trump and Moore by bringing up Bill Clinton. “Okay, we did look at Bill Clinton and we impeached him,” Goldberg pointed out, adding, “So, new guy in the White House, we’re saying to you, you’ve got accusers. People are shaking their fingers at you. They’re scared. What are you going to do to make them feel better? That’s the question Joy has asked. That’s the question Sunny has asked. That’s the question Sara has asked. We’re all asking, what are you going to do make this better for women? Because it doesn’t feel like you’re making it safe for us.”

Added Hostin, “Not when he’s saying, ‘Roy Moore, I believe you.'” Check out the video below. NOTE: The video is no longer available.
