On Friday’s “The View,” the co-hosts reacted to Donald Trump saying the French First Lady is in “such good shape.” Watch the video below.

The president was in France on Thursday to meet with the country’s new leader, Emmanuel Macron. He and Melania Trump also spent time with Macron’s wife, Brigitte Macron. At one point, a press camera captured Trump telling the first lady of France, “You’re in such good shape. Beautiful.”

The moment quickly went viral on social media, with many accusing Trump of making an inappropriate remark, especially in light of the sexual assault allegations that have been leveled against him. On the ABC talk show, Paula Faris, who was subbing in for Whoopi Goldberg as the moderator, stated, “People are saying that it’s sexist. What do you guys think?”

Jedediah Bila responded, “Here’s the thing: If my husband did that to another woman in that setting, I would probably have a problem with it. But let his wife deal with this. I want to deal with him on healthcare and jobs. Let Melania take that up with him.” Sunny Hostin countered, “But he represents us all.”

Still, Sara Haines argued, “I think you got to pick your battles with him. He gives us a lot of stuff.” She even amusingly added, “I don’t care who tells me I look great. I’m gonna take it.” Guest co-host Caitlyn Jenner noted, “I compliment people all the time… I don’t think it’s sexist.” But Hostin wasn’t budging.

“I think it’s the context. In an official meet and greet, you don’t always have to comment on a woman’s looks. It is a nice thing, but context matters,” she insisted. Bila, though, again made the argument that there are bigger issues to worry about. “We’re talking about this while the Senate passes a healthcare bill that subsidizes companies with your money,” she said.

Bila continued, “This is where I have a problem with media, and I feel complicit when this happens, because I want to say, ‘I don’t want to talk about this.'” At the end of the segment, Faris stressed that Brigitte Macron did not seem to hold the comments against Trump, as they had a rather lengthy goodbye, a clip of which was shown on screen. “If we show you the bad, we have to show you the good,” she quipped.
