On Monday’s “The View,” the co-hosts debated the progress President Donald Trump has made during his first 100 days in office. Watch the video below!

During a “Hot Topics” segment on the daytime talk show, Whoopi Goldberg noted that Trump currently has the “lowest approval rating of any president in the last 72 years,” and yet “96 percent of the people who voted for him” are happy with the job he’s doing. Co-host Jedediah Bila explained that many Trump supporters “see strong national security” and “a commitment to border security,” which are just two reasons they’re still behind him. “What they’re waiting on is health care reform and tax reform, which is huge,” she added.

Sonny Hostin went on to reveal she spent the weekend in Dallas interviewing a pastor and the congregates of his church, all of whom were pleased with Trump’s accomplishments thus far. When she asked the religious sect if they felt their “Christian values” conflicted with a controversial figure who’s spewed “vulgar” rhetoric, the most common response given was, “I voted for platform, rather than person.”

But Whoopi Goldberg took umbrage with that sentiment, arguing, “You can’t just vote on policy. You’re voting on the man… You can’t pick and choose.” She added, “I’m sure these are very nice people, but what they’re voting for is a policy in America that we have fought for years not to continue: the policy of divisiveness.”

Meanwhile, Sara Haines pointed out that while the media focuses on big issues like health care, tax reform and building a wall between the U.S. and Mexico, “It’s the little things that are frustrating me.” Two examples of small, but “damning” reforms cited by the co-host were “forced arbitration that bans companies from keeping people silent if they’ve been harassed at work” and “pesticides in the ground.”

Finally, Goldberg referenced recent reports indicating America will have to pay for building a wall along the border, despite Trump promising during his campaign that Mexico would cover the cost. “I don’t like bait and switch,” she stated. “Mexico is not paying for it and they have been very clear about it.” But Joy Behar had a solution. “Maybe Jared [Kushner] and Ivanka could pay for it,” she offered. “They’ve got the cash.” Watch the full “Hot Topics” segment below!
