The View Trump Budget Cuts

“The View” co-hosts on Friday debated Donald Trump’s budget cuts, sparking quite an argument. Watch below.

As Gossip Cop reported, Trump’s proposed budget calls for cutting arts funding and eliminating funding for Meals on Wheels. Now on the ABC talk show, Joy Behar blasted him for the plans. Noting it’s St. Patrick’s Day, she declared, “If you’re elderly, sick, or poor, your luck has just run out.”

“Did you think I would not talk about it?” she asked, going on to state, “Just when you thought it was safe to stop talking about Trump, he unleashes his budget on us.” Behar noted a few of the things Trump wants to defund, including public broadcasting, “so we can all be as dumb as he is!”

She asserted, “We are in an emergency in this country. People need to get with the program. A lot of Trump voters need to start reading the New York Times and see what he’s doing to you.” Behar further asked, “Is it compassionate for Donald to ask single moms to foot the bills for his golf weekends at Mar-A-Lago?” She then said to her colleagues, “I ask you, ladies, what is the most horrific part of this? Or do you agree with it?”

“I think it’s pretty horrific throughout,” Sunny Hostin responded. But Jedediah Bila defended Trump’s proposal, arguing, “Everyone always wants to talk about cuts. No one ever wants to talk about the fact that we’re broke. The country is broke.” Paula Faris agreed, “We do have to look at the debt.”

That led to a spat on whether billionaires should be taxed more to solve these issues, and who is doing their fair share. It got very heated, with Hostin and Bila facing off. Behar even had to yell at one point, “Let Sara [Haines] speak!” Check out the video below. NOTE: The video is no longer available.
