The View Trump Healthcare Failure

On Monday’s “The View,” the co-hosts reacted to Donald Trump passing the blame for the failure of the Republican-led healthcare bill. Watch below.

As Gossip Cop reported, Paul Ryan announced on Friday that their healthcare bill, the American Healthcare Act (nicknamed “Trumpcare”), would be pulled after the Republican-led House couldn’t get enough votes for the legislation to pass. The Affordable Care Act (“Obamacare”) will remain in replace for the foreseeable future. This was a major loss for the president, but Trump is putting the blame on Democrats and others.

On the ABC talk show, Whoopi Goldberg brought up his “damage control” and his “wide net of people to blame.” In addition to Democrats, Trump has also pointed to the Republican Freedom Caucus, and told Twitter followers to watch Jeannine Pirro’s show, on which she blamed Ryan for the failure. “Does she think the president doesn’t read the bill? I don’t think it’s called the ‘Ryan Bill,'” Goldberg argued.

Sunny Hostin was upset by Trump’s suggestive tweet, saying, “You see those sort of shenanigans in state-run television. You see that when there isn’t a democracy. The White House is saying that’s just a ‘coincidence.'” And Sara Haines said, “I didn’t like the health bill as Paul Ryan had it. But he did bring something to the table.” She insisted it’s not right to simply get rid of the guy who spearheaded the project when he at least tried and no alternatives have been offered.

Goldberg went on to suggest, “What if we did this: What if we took Obamacare and really went looking for the stuff that doesn’t work, and say ‘oh, maybe we can take this. And oh my gosh, maybe it’s possible we can keep something that didn’t dump everybody and improve it.’ Which is what you expect a president to do when they come in, to improve something.”

“I think they tried to do what you’re suggesting,” Jedediah Bila responded. She did agree that Republicans are to blame, saying, “It’s on them, 100 percent,” but also understood why Trump was passing the buck. “Who else is he going to blame? Himself?” she asked. Check out the video below.
