The View Anthony Scaramucci Fired

On Tuesday’s “The View,” the co-hosts reacted to Donald Trump firing Anthony Scaramucci. Watch the video below.

As Gossip Cop reported, it was announced on Monday afternoon that Scaramucci was out as Trump’s communications director. He only took the job roughly 10 days prior, and wasn’t even set to officially begin for another few weeks. Now on the ABC talk show, Whoopi Goldberg began by singing “arrivederci” in an Italian accent, before a montage called “Thanks For The Mooch-mories” played to show “what a 10 days it was.”

“And people wonder why he got fired,” Goldberg cracked afterward. Sara Haines revealed, “I took a nap yesterday, and I literally woke up to an email from Sunny that said ‘Whaaaaaat?!’ How long was I asleep?” Sunny Hostin gave props to Joy Behar for actually predicting Scaramucci’s exit on “The View” yesterday, just hours before it was announced. The comedienne now joked, “My next prediction: Reince Priebus will give birth to the Mooch’s baby.”

What’s more is Behar actually spoke to Scaramucci yesterday, “trying to get him on the show” in the wake of the firing. She said they had a “very interesting conversation,” but after his New Yorker fiasco, he learned to have “off the record” conversations, and she couldn’t repeat what they discussed. Still, Behar confirmed, “His mood was great.” From there, the panelists went on to discuss Ivanka Trump tweeting that she’ll be working “alongside” new chief of staff John Kelly.

Goldberg wasn’t buying it. “He’s the gatekeeper, so even though he’s your dad, you’re not going to be able to run in there,” she insisted. And Behar commented, “I think those kids will be gone soon, out of the White House.” She noted Jared Kushner “can’t do the job” while “under investigation,” and of Ivanka said, “She’s selling shoes, okay? Everyone knows it. Unless she’s getting a nice pair of sandals for Kelly, what is her function there?”

Though Hostin was skeptical Trump would dump his daughter and son-in-law, Goldberg further pointed out, “Kelly is a military man and there are protocols. And if you don’t do your job, he’s gonna move you, as he did with the Mooch… I believe he’s gonna say, ‘Look, you brought me here for a reason. This isn’t working.'” Jedediah Bila, however, reminded, “The problem is the one person who’s making things not orderly and run smoothly is Trump.”

As the conversation went on, they realized the one person yet to comment on all these changes is Steve Bannon, who many used to think was in control. Behar now cracked, “He’s done, put a cork in him.” And with a fake sob, Goldberg declared, “President Bannon, you had so much potential. And now you’re gone.” Check out the video below.
