Terrell Owens Elimination Interview DWTS

Terrell Owens, the latest contestant to be eliminated from this season’s “Dancing With The Stars,” appeared on Tuesday’s “Good Morning America” to talk about his ballroom journey. Watch the video below!

As Gossip Cop reported, Owens and Cheryl Burke were the eighth pair to be sent home from “Dancing With The Stars” on Monday. Despite receiving 27 out of 30 points for his Charleston and 24 out of 30 points for his trio rumba, it wasn’t enough for the NFL star to secure a place in next week’s show. Following Monday night’s broadcast, Owens and his partner appeared on “Good Morning America” to talk about his elimination from the dancing competition.

On his exit from the show, Owens said, “I think what a lot of people know is that we were judged on last week’s show. We didn’t do that well.” Burke added, “It’s all from last week, so these scores from last night would be for next week’s votes. We were at the bottom of the leaderboard.”

On a more positive note, Burke continued, speaking of Owens’ improvement over the course of this season. She said, “I think Terrell is just a hard worker. This is why I love working with athletes because they don’t take anything I say too personal. I’m pretty tough, I’m hardcore, but that’s because I saw potential in Terrell.” The pro dancer added, “I knew that he had it in him. I kept fighting until I got it. I had no idea we were going to make it all the way to week eight, so I’m super proud of him.”

Owens went on to talk about his vulnerability during the show. “I feel like I’ve always been that way, but football doesn’t really allow people to see that side of me. Football is a more masculine, macho type of sport,” he shared. Watch the full “GMA” video below! NOTE: The video is no longer available.
