Teresa Giudice is not "done" with the imprisoned Joe Giudice, and their marriage is not "over." A new report claims she's "finally ready to leave her husband and is already moving on," but the allegations are 100 percent wrong. Gossip Cop exclusively spoke with Teresa's attorney to learn the truth.
The article in question comes from In Touch and misleadingly begins by trying to use Teresa's own remarks against her. The tabloid quotes her as saying, "I can't predict the future. I'm waiting for Joe to come home and whatever is meant to be is meant to be." Well, the gossip magazine believes it can predict the future, and contends Joe is "in for a rude awakening." A so-called "source" tells the publication, "Teresa is done with Joe and is already making plans for a life without him... She has moved on from Joe and is on the prowl looking for a new rich man."
The outlet again goes on to sensationalize statements from Teresa, this time extrapolating quotes from her new book, in which she admits she would leave the marriage if "things aren't good." But the publication is leading readers to believe it's already a done deal, with the supposed snitch even claiming, "Teresa is clearly ready to move on." This alleged tipster adds, "Teresa feels free... She is sad things have come to this, but she is looking forward to a bright future."
Yet the tabloid doesn't mention the multiple interviews Teresa has done over the last few weeks in which she's expressed her commitment to Joe. Also not mentioned is the devotion to their relationship that she wrote about in her aforementioned memoir. But when Gossip Cop spoke with her lawyer, James J. Leonard Jr., he was sure to point that out. "Teresa addresses her marriage and her future with Joe in her new book, Standing Strong," the attorney says. "In it, she makes it quite evident that she is standing by Joe and looking forward to him coming home so they can be a family again."
As Gossip Cop reported, in August Us Weekly similarly claimed Teresa was going to divorce Joe, and Leonard shot that story down, too. And the reality star herself tweeted, "#fakenews #nonews." It seems those hashtags would apply to this In Touch piece, too.
Gossip Cop believes there to be elements of truth, but the story is ultimately misleading.
