Teresa Giudice is broke, according to a report published on Friday. But her attorney exclusively tells Gossip Cop the claim isn’t true. What’s more is the story comes from a webloid with a spotty track record when it comes to the “Real Housewives” star.

“‘Flat Broke’ Teresa Giudice Doesn’t Know How She’ll Pay For Daughter’s College,” blares the headline from RadarOnline, which contends the reality star is in a “’desperate’” financial situation” and “afraid she [won’t] be able to pay her daughters’ college tuitions.” A “source” supposedly close to the Bravo personality is quoted as saying, “Teresa is flat broke and she spends all of her money on her cars. She doesn’t know how she’s going to pay for college for the girls. She is pretty desperate.”

The site claims the only “silver lining” to her “sad situation” is that, “As the eighth season of the hit Bravo show began, sources told Radar that her fellow ‘RHONJ’ castmates left her alone.” A purported “insider” supposedly explains, “No one attacked Teresa this season because she’s so fragile. After her mom died and Joe being away they didn’t want to victimize her anymore.” Gossip Cop isn’t sure how not fighting with her co-stars would help Giudice’s money woes if finances are as dire as claimed.

And while it’s true Giudice did do prison time for fraud and was forced to pay restitution, her lawyer takes issue with this article describing her as “flat broke.” In fact, James J. Leonard Jr. exclusively tells Gossip Cop that the story is “false in every way.” Several other past reports from the outlet have been false in every way, too. For example, more than two years ago, Gossip Cop busted the online publication when it wrongly claimed Giudice was joining “Dancing with the Stars.”

She never hit the ballroom, just like she never filmed a Christmas special. That was another inaccurate allegation the webloid spread in 2014. And while those falsehoods may seem frivolous, RadarOnline was very seriously mistaken when it announced federal agents had raided Giudice’s home. The allegation was 100 percent untrue and remains to this day an example of why the site has no business “reporting” on her at all.
