Taylor Swift made a surprise Christmas visit to Cyrus Porter, who’s not only a 96-year-old fan from Missouri, but is also a World War II vet with cancer. On Monday, Swift stopped by his home in New Madrid, where she spent time with Porter and even treated him and his 60-plus children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren to a private acoustic concert. See the photos and video below.

Just five days after a local news station did a report about Porter, and how the war vet is a huge fan of Swift’s and has even driven to concerts in St. Louis and Memphis to see her perform, the singer herself made the trip to his home. While there, she not only spent time with Porter, but she also posed for pictures with each of the 60-plus family members who spent the day after Christmas with the patriarch. Porter also shared stories with Swift and showed her some of his commendations for and articles about his military service during World War II.

One relative posted video of Swift’s performing “Shake It Off” for Porter’s family. And a grandson named Robert posted a selfie on Instagram of himself, his grandfather, and Swift and captioned it, “It’s a Christmas Miracle!!! Thank you @taylorswift13. My grandpa was so excited!!” Another grandson named Chip wrote alongside his selfie with the singer, “When @taylorswift13 crashes your family Christmas…” Check out the video and photos below of Taylor Swift spending the day after Christmas in Missouri with Cyrus Porter, a 96-year-old World War II veteran with cancer, who also happens to be a big fan of the singer.
