Taylor Swift and Prince Harry are not about to start dating, despite a report falsely claiming the singer is pursuing a romantic relationship with the royal. Gossip Cop can debunk the story, which comes from one of the tabloids.

It’s alleged in the new issue of Life & Style that while Swift has “kissed her share of frogs,” she’s now “ready to find her prince — literally!” A so-called “pal” is quoted as saying, “Taylor has set her sights on Prince Harry. She’s always been attracted to British men and has been telling people that she’d love to become Princess Taylor.”

In fact, the magazine claims Swift is “so determined to get 32-year-old Harry’s attention that she’s enlisting the help of one of Harry’s rumored former flames, singer Ellie Goulding.” The outlet’s supposed source explains, “She’s begging Ellie to set them up. Taylor wants to impress Harry with her lavish lifestyle and has even offered to fly him to L.A. on her private jet. If Harry’s schedule is too hectic, she’ll happily fly to London for a date.”

The story goes on to note that even though “the royal family likely wouldn’t approve,” in part because the Queen “would flip if Taylor ever wrote a breakup song about her Harry,” the prince himself “might just be game for a date anyway.” Adds the alleged tipster, “He loves Taylor’s songs, plus Taylor is his type: blond and fun!”

This isn’t the first time such a pairing has been proposed. Back in 2013, The Sun similarly claimed Swift had “sights set on meeting” Prince Harry. That same year, Star said the singer wanted Gwyneth Paltrow to help find her a British husband, with the eligible royal among the possible candidates.

Both stories, however, were utterly false. And time has proven Gossip Cop’s busts on the subject to be accurate. Swift never pursued a romance with Prince Harry, and she isn’t looking to date him now. A reliable insider even laughed when Gossip Cop broached the subject. The tabloids’ inane claims often make us laugh, too.
