Taylor Swift is not preparing to "come out of hiding" with boyfriend Joe Alwyn on Sunday at the 2017 MTV Europe Music Awards, despite a new report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct the claim. We're told she won't even be at the EMAs.

According to Us Weekly, Swift has been doing everything in her power "to keep things private" and not be photographed with her actor boyfriend. But, after noting how Swift is slated to perform two songs off her new album Reputation on the November 11 edition of "Saturday Night Live," the tabloid writes that she's "ready to show off just how happy she is" with Alwyn. The magazine claims following nearly a year of keeping the romance "firmly under wraps," Swift will have Alwyn join her at the November 12 Europe Music Awards in London. A supposed "insider" is quoted as saying, "She wants to reveal their relationship when the time is right."

Fans of Swift should not hold their breath to see her and Alwyn at the EMAs on Sunday. Organizers for the annual music event tell us she won't be there, despite the tabloid's claim. It also doesn't make sense logistically.

Swift is not jetting directly from one stage to another across the two continents. For starters, she'll still be onstage for the goodbyes on "SNL" at 1 a.m. Sunday, which is already 6 a.m. London time. It takes seven and a half hours to fly from New York to London, not including travel time to and from the airports. While it's technically possible and would allow Swift around 3 or so hours of downtime before having to be at Wembley Arena, this ahem, swift turn-around is not happening.

Ironically, as Gossip Cop reported earlier today, Swift just mocked Us Weekly with a parody of the magazine's cover to help promote Reputation. And, of course, the outlet has been wrong before about Swift's romances. Last year, Gossip Cop busted the magazine when it falsely claimed on a cover that Swift and Tom Hiddleston were getting engaged. The tabloid was wrong then. And it's wrong now. Maybe it's time for the publication's fact-checking to "come out of hiding."

Our Verdict

Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
