Taylor Swift has not "declared war" on Jennifer Lawrence, despite a bogus tabloid report attempting to create a feud between the singer and actress. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk the nonexistent drama. We're told there's no truth to it.
During a Times Talks interview earlier this month, Lawrence brought up the rumored falling out between Swift and Kloss, admitting that she's desperate to find out "what's going on" between the longtime friends. The latest issue of NW claims the pop star is furious about the Red Sparrow star discussing her personal life in a public forum. Swift is now planning her revenge, according to an alleged insider.
The magazine's questionable source says, "[Tay's] sent the message to Jennifer, indirectly, to back off if she knows what's good for her. Jennifer has plenty of her own baggage, with her partying and messy dating life. It won't be hard for Taylor to score some pretty embarrassing secrets or gossip if she chooses to retaliate."
The supposed tipster further contends that Swift knows secrets about Lawrence that aren't public knowledge, such as her famous flings, "anecdotes of drunk behavior" and "embarrassing stuff she may have done to get up the fame ladder." The seemingly phony source adds, "Mark my words, she won't let this pass without getting even. I wouldn't want to be Jen when Taylor hits back!"
But Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to Swift, who exclusively assures us the tabloid's article is total nonsense. The singer isn't waging war on Lawrence over an offhand and relatively innocuous comment the actress made during a Q&A event. This story was seemingly concocted because the singer has had public rifts with various celebrities, such as Kim Kardashian and Katy Perry, but Lawrence isn't being added to that list.
Ironically, Lawrence is attached to star in the upcoming drama Bad Blood, playing the founder of a controversial blood-testing company. Meanwhile, Swift's 2014 song "Bad Blood" surrounded her feud with a fellow female musician. The "bad blood" between the actress and singer, however, is nonexistent.
It's also worth noting, the tabloids have a habit of throwing Lawrence into fake feuds. Gossip Cop has previously debunked separate stories about the actress fighting with Emma Stone and Amy Schumer, despite both of them being good friends of hers. This latest article surrounding the actress's alleged dispute with Swift is equally baseless.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
