Taylor Swift Katy Perry Super Bowl

(Hollywood Life)

Taylor Swift has no plans to “get back” at Katy Perry because of her Super Bowl halftime performance, despite yet another made-up story. Gossip Cop can exclusively report there isn’t one shred of truth to that claim.

Originally, the webloid with a rich history of lying repeatedly built up how Perry was “planning to diss” Swift during her Super Bowl show. When that didn’t happen, a certain scrambling-for-cover blog alleged that because Perry’s back-up dancers wore high-waisted bikinis, it was a subtle dig at Swift, who once wore a similar bathing suit two and a half years before. Huh? Of course, no one in their right mind can see how that was a “diss,” but it didn’t stop the fabricators at HollywoodLife from manufacturing yet another story, stating the supposed bathing suit dig is now enough for Swift to plot retaliation.

Let’s pause for a moment here before going over the newest, entirely untrue claims. First HollywoodLies, er, HollywoodLife created a fake story in early January about Perry plotting a “diss.” It never came true, but the site’s wish did. It garnered more than 500,000 visits for a story that was wholly manufactured. Naturally, even though there was no “diss” by Perry at the Super Bowl, the webloid finagled an equally untrue story to dupe Google, advertisers and readers. And if it’s worked before, undoubtedly that must be the motivation behind the latest falsehood. Clearly, it’s not a newfound dedication to good reporting, because the site has been proven wrong over and over by Gossip Cop as well as a rumors’ worst friend, time. With the passage of time, it becomes crystal clear who’s telling the truth and who’s lying.

Now, in its latest attempt to pull the wool over everyone’s eyes, the site promises, “Just wait until you hear how Taylor plans to get back at Katy!” The webloid then quotes one of its many either fictitious or gravely ill-informed sources as saying Swift will exact revenge either by a “music video or other high profile situation.” That’s it. That vague piece of nothingness is all HollywoodLife has. Nothing else.

Gossip Cop actually spoke to a Swift insider, something HollywoodLife does not and seemingly never has had. A mutual friend of Gossip Cop and Swift, who has consistently been right, first called the webloid “stupid,” before noting the blog has “no source” and characterizing the site’s latest post as “completely made up crap.” We couldn’t have said it better.
