Taylor Lautner and Billie Lourd have split, Gossip Cop confirms. We reached out to both sides for comment, but Lautner’s camp declined and Lourd’s team did not respond.

Lautner and Lourd, who starred on FOX’s now-canceled series “Scream Queens” together, were first linked romantically late last year. When Lourd’s mom, Carrie Fisher, and grandmother, Debbie Reynolds, unexpectedly died one day apart in December, Lautner provided comfort and companionship. In the months afterward, the two occasionally showed PDA in public and posted about one another on social media.

And just last month, Lourd’s uncle, Todd Fisher, had nothing but praise for Lautner, commending him in an interview for being there for his niece in the way a husband typically would after a death. That said, the stars’ social media interactions have seemingly come to a halt in recent weeks. Now Lautner and Lourd have officially ended their relationship, Gossip Cop is told.

During the romance, Gossip Cop accurately busted untrue tabloid stories about the pair. In January, the National Enquirer alleged Lourd’s family was afraid she’d rush into marriage with Lautner. “Billie is getting too close too fast,” the supermarket tabloid insisted, claiming the actress was trying to fill the void from her mom and grandma’s deaths. But while the article was supposedly based on the opinions of Lourd’s friends and family, Gossip Cop learned the publication didn’t bother fact-checking the contentions with a spokesperson. And when we spoke to the family rep, Gossip Cop was told the article was not only untrue, but also “gross” for seemingly trying to capitalize on Fisher and Reynolds’ passings.

More recently, in May, Life & Style claimed Lautner and Lourd were “talking marriage.” The gossip magazine claimed the “inseparable” couple was “already dreaming of a happily ever-after,” and cited a supposed “source,” who asserted the former co-stars were even “discussing wedding locations.” Lourd’s rep, however, told Gossip Cop the claims were “crazy,” and Lautner’s spokesperson assured us he was “not getting married” anytime soon. Now, after two tall tales about Lautner and Lourd tying the knot, they aren’t even dating anymore.
