Spider-Man: Homecoming climbed up the box office chart for a huge win in its opening weekend. Get the details and check out the full Top 10 rankings for this week’s movies below!

Spider-Man: Homecoming is the first installment in a new Sony film reboot of the comic book franchise. After Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield played the web slinger in past series, Tom Holland is now donning the iconic suit. With high fan interest and rave reviews, Homecoming grossed $117 million to become the second-highest opening of all the Spider-Man movies. It also stands as Sony’s second-best domestic debut of all time.

It is a tremendous drop to get to the rest of the Top 10. Last week’s chart-topper, Despicable Me 3, brought in $33.9 million for second place. Baby Driver followed in the number three spot with $12.8 million. Wonder Woman, another superhero movie that earned a stellar opening recently, took in $10.1 million to rank fourth.

Ticket sales of $6.3 million put Transformers: The Last Knight at number five. Cars 3 finished in the sixth position with receipts worth $5.6 million. Meanwhile, Will Ferrell and Amy Poehler’s casino comedy The House continued to disappoint in its second weekend. It only garnered $4.8 million for seventh place. Rounding out the Top 10 were The Big Sick ($3.7 million), 47 Meters Down ($2.8 million) and The Beguiled ($2 million).
