Sofia Richie is not "purposely transforming" into Kourtney Kardashian for Scott Disick, despite a new report. In addition to being just plain wrong, this story is also obviously made-up. Gossip Cop can bust it.
According to the fabrication factory known as HollywoodLife, Richie's latest hairstyle "wasn't a spur of the moment decision," but something intentionally "modeled off" Kardashian, Disick's ex and the mother of his three kids. A so-called "source close to Sofia" is quoted as saying, "Sofia is purposely transforming herself into a Kourtney Kardashian clone because she knows it's a huge turn on for Scott. He has a type and Sofia is morphing into that for him, and it just so happens to be a lot like Kourtney."
It seems like the site and its supposed snitch have been watching both Single White Female and Fifty Shades Of Grey too much lately, as the alleged tipster goes on to assert that Disick is "very controlling" with Richie "and even tells her what clothes to wear and how to style her hair." Yet the notion that he only prefers women with dark brown hair doesn't hold up considering another recent fling, Bella Thorne, alternately had dirty blonde hair and a red color when they were together.
It's also evident that HollywoodLies, as it's known, doesn't actually have a legitimate insider close to Richie, because if they did, that person would surely point out that she had brown hair long before she was ever linked to Disick. Gossip Cop actually already noted this a month ago when the blog inaccurately maintained Richie was "channeling" Kardashian by sporting dark hair. In actuality, she was just reverting back to a color she sported as far back as six years ago.
But the website's insistence that Richie's hairstyle is tied to Disick and its cluelessness about her having the same 'do in years past are not the only signs that this "exclusive" was manufactured. One day before this report was published, the outlet had a comparison posted with the headline, "Kourtney Kardashian Vs. Sofia Richie: Who Rocks Dark Hair & Ab-Baring White Crop Tops Best?" The online publication wrote, "Since Sofia Richie appears to be copying Kourtney Kardashian's look, we figured it's time to comparing these two... There's clearly some style-stealing happening here!"
Less than 24 hours later, HollywoodLies purported to magically, suddenly have a "source" supporting its premise. The website even used the same photos to illustrate both stories. (See screengrabs below.) It seems clear the blog decided on a narrative, facts be damned, and concocted this storyline. As is the case with many of the site's "exclusives," it's pretty apparent this one was fudged.
Gossip Cop believes there to be elements of truth, but the story is ultimately misleading.
