Selena Gomez and The Weeknd are NOT in talks for a Vogue photo shoot, despite yet another fabricated story about the couple. Gossip Cop can exclusively bust the report.

In a purported "exclusive," HollywoodLife announces, "Selena Gomez & The Weeknd In 'Vogue' Together? A Sexy Shoot May Be In The Works." The serial fabricators say in the accompanying story, "Heck yes! Selena Gomez and The Weeknd are the hottest couple around these days and they could be taking the romance to the pages of 'Vogue.'"

"The singers are up for a sexy and stylish fashion spread together," alleges the dubious site, which quotes a so-called "source" as saying, "Selena and Anna Wintour discussed a possible photo shoot with The Weeknd. Anna loves the idea. Celebrity couples always do well for Vogue and needless to say Selena and The Weeknd are today's top trendsetters and Hollywood's hottest couple."

The webloid's bogus tipster goes on to claim, "Paris and Greece were named as potential location shoots." So, are Gomez and The Weeknd really "next in line to show off their love while looking oh so fashionable"? Uh, no. And it seems HollywoodLies only concocted this tale because Gomez and Wintour were seated next to each other at New York Fashion Week a few days ago.

As Gossip Cop has repeatedly pointed out, HollywoodLies likes to take a topic (in this case, Gomez and Wintour getting assigned to sit next each other) and craft a story around it (they were talking about a photo shoot). But like so many others, these claims were completely manufactured. In fact, one of our Gomez contacts actually laughed upon seeing the story and its made-up allegations, confirming that there is definitely no joint photo shoot for Vogue in the works.

Of course, this "exclusive" came from the same bad blog that wrongly said Gomez was buying The Weeknd a car for his birthday, and then claimed Gomez and The Weeknd were going to get matching tattoos. As long as HollywoodLies keeps spreading untrue stories about the stars, Gossip Cop will keep calling the outlet out for it.

Our Verdict

Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
