A new report from HollywoodLife alleges Selena Gomez is "sad" The Weeknd is going on tour, but the entire story is made-up. Gossip Cop can, once again, expose the webloid's lies. We're told no one close to either star is feeding the untrustworthy outlet with information about their relationship.

In its latest fabrication, the often disproven site purports to know how Gomez plans to keep her romance "alive" with the "Starboy" singer while he's away on tour. In the story, an alleged Gomez "insider" is quoted as saying, "Selena is determined to keep their relationship active while he's on the road, so she will be sending him gifts and handwritten messages to his hotel letting him know that she is thinking about him." The outlet's dubious tipster goes on to claim, "Selena has even thought well into the future and is already making plans to celebrate Abel's tour wrap-up in mid-December."

The website's seemingly non-existent "source" further contends, "Even though [Gomez] is sad, she loves that his tour is coming at the right time as she has her album and upcoming movie shoot that she can shift her focus to." What's more, according to the outlet's questionable insider, Gomez is planning to "let [The Weeknd] kick his feet up and prepare a nice home-cooked meal for him with all the trimmings" when he returns home.

But as Gossip Cop has repeatedly pointed out, HollywoodLife simply pretends to have insider knowledge about celebrities when it absolutely doesn't. Remember, we corrected the bogus site just weeks ago when it falsely reported to have exclusive details about Gomez and The Weeknd's first fight. And shortly before the outlet posted that piece of fake news, we called out the website for claiming to know Gomez's reaction to The Weeknd's Harper's Bazaar cover shoot.

Sadly, HollywoodLies, as it's often nicknamed, is still duping its readers. Upon investigating into its latest concoction, an actual source close to Gomez tells Gossip Cop the story is 100 percent "made-up." Of course, Gomez will undoubtably miss The Weeknd while he's on the road, but no one from her trusted inner circle is telling the unreliable website about her feelings. It's all lies.

Our Verdict

Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
