Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber are not moving in together, Gossip Cop has exclusively confirmed with a Gomez confidante. The on-and-off couple’s rekindled romance is not as serious as some outlets have made it out to be. And this untrue report about the pair living together comes from the same tabloid that last week wrongly claimed Gomez was pregnant.
Tellingly, Life & Style makes no mention of its made-up pregnancy in this new story, which contends now that Gomez and Bieber are “back on and planning to marry, they’re not wasting any time. They’re already hunting for a home so they can move in together.” A so-called “insider” is quoted as saying, “It was Selena’s idea, and Justin’s all for it. He’s already looking at homes in the Calabasas area. They just can’t wait to start their life together.”
But, alleges the gossip magazine, Gomez’s family isn’t onboard with the decision. “They want Selena to remain healthy and feel this could be the biggest mistake of her life,” claims the supposed source. No matter, asserts the publication’s purported tipster, “They’ve both grown up so much. Being apart was crucial for them to move on and to realize they were meant to be together. Buying a home to live in as a couple will seal the deal.”
While it’s true Gomez and Bieber are going on dates, and sleepovers aren’t out of the realm of possibility, they are not currently planning to buy a house and move in together. Our impeccable Gomez contact insists the allegations “couldn’t be further from reality.” Of course, Life & Style has often operated in a fantasy world, which is why it wrongly claimed she was pregnant with Bieber’s child in 2014 and outrageously fabricated a story in 2015 about Gomez miscarrying his baby.
Meanwhile, HollywoodLife has chosen to ignore the tabloid’s track record and forgo fact-checking in favor of declaring on its site, “Justin Bieber & Selena Gomez Reportedly Moving In Together One Month After Reuniting.” In the post, the webloid actually admits it’s unsure if the stars are a “couple” or “non-couple” because “they have yet to confirm.” Gossip Cop can confirm this: HollywoodLies, as its nicknamed, and Life & Style have no business writing about Gomez and Bieber in the first place.
Gossip Cop believes there to be elements of truth, but the story is ultimately misleading.
