Selena Gomez Lesbian Ruby Carr

Selena Gomez and Ruby Carr are NOT in a lesbian relationship, despite a ridiculous webloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this claim. We’re told there’s “no truth” to it.

Carr, one of the singers in the girl band Bahari, the opening act for Gomez’s current Revival tour, tweeted a video of the duo innocently pecking each other on the lips during Gomez’s Fourth of July party last week. And now according to Celeb Dirty Laundry, the friendly kiss signifies that the two girls are hooking up.

Without a single source to back up its purely speculative claim, the website theorizes that “it must be hard for [Gomez] to watch BFF Taylor Swift‘s love life take so many fruitful turns,” referring to the pop star’s new relationship with Tom Hiddleston. The site then goes on to make the baseless assertion that Gomez “can’t find a boyfriend,” adding, “Is there a possibility that Selena and Ruby are in – or thinking about – a lesbian relationship?”

Wait! Just because Gomez currently doesn’t have a boyfriend, that automatically means to the webloid that she may be a lesbian? And because Swift is happy with a new man, it must be “hard” on Gomez?

Despite how unfounded and phony the outlet’s entire report seems, Gossip Cop still checked in with a source close to Gomez, who laughed off the speculation about a lesbian relationship, before exclusively assuring us there’s “no truth” to the webloid’s story. Of course, we’re not surprised that the site would get the facts wrong, considering how many times we’ve busted CDL for its many inaccurate tales about Gomez.

In the past, Gossip Cop debunked the webloid’s absurd claim that Gomez was going to leak nude Justin Bieber photos. We also called out the outlet for falsely alleging that the singer was getting engaged to musician Zedd. Neither of those stories were true, nor is the current story. Check out the video below that sparked the site’s latest wrong report about Gomez.
