A story alleging Selena Gomez is "happy" The Weeknd is "moving on," but gets "emotional" when seeing him with other women," is a complete fabrication. Gossip Cop can expose this made-up report. Once again, we've been told no one close to Gomez is talking to HollywoodLife, a site that repeatedly manufactures concocted claims.
According to the website that's earned the nickname HollywoodLies, while Gomez is "thrilled" to have reunited with Justin Bieber, she gets "emotional" when she thinks about The Weeknd dating someone else. Basically, like everyone else, the blog saw photos of The Weeknd (born Abel Tesfaye) hanging out with model Yovanna Ventura, and so it slapped together a phony tale about how it's affecting Gomez. And to bolster it's made-up claim, the outlet asserts it has a "source close to Selena" feeding them information. But, as Gossip Cop has noted on several occasions, Gomez herself called that blog "the worst" in a Billboard interview and contended on Instagram that "Hollywood life is never true. Ever."
Yet, somehow HollywoodLies would like everyone to believe that a "source close to Selena" leaked her deep, personal thoughts. While Gossip Cop knows it's all untrue, let's examine what the seemingly nonexistent "source" said. The blog asserts its supposed insider shares, "Selena is happy that her ex boyfriend Abel is moving on from their relationship but seeing or hearing about him with other women gets her emotional." Of course, a real person would just say "her ex," "her ex-boyfriend," or "Abel," and not string those descriptive words together.
Regardless, Gossip Cop is assured that Gomez is not getting "emotional" over paparazzi pictures taken of The Weeknd with other women. We're told she's focused on her rekindled relationship with Bieber and any assertion that her friends or colleagues are telling HollywoodLies stories for the site to use for articles is a total fabrication. Sadly, we're not surprised by the outlet's questionable claims because we've caught the blog manufacturing phony reports about Gomez for years.
In the past, for example, the untrustworthy outlet also swore up and down to have been spoken to a "source close to Selena" when it published one fake news story after another about Gomez and Niall Horan dating. The reality is the two never dated and no one "close" to her would have made those claims. And nearly a year ago, HollywoodLife also maintained Gomez was pregnant with The Weeknd's baby. Much like those past articles, the rash of new reports are simply made-up, including one from a few days ago that alleges to have inside information about how Gomez is "blown away" by Bieber's new maturity.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
