A new report alleges Selena Gomez is asking her friends for advice on how to keep her relationship with The Weeknd private, but the entire story is made-up. Gossip Cop can correct this bogus claim, which was posted by HollywoodLife.

According to the often disproven site, Gomez has turned to her “famous besties” Taylor Swift and Jennifer Aniston for advice on how to keep her current romance with the singer under wraps. In a so-called “exclusive,” a supposed Gomez “insider” is quoted as saying, “The last thing she wants is a celebrity romance with a celebrity name like Bennifer and Brangelina. She wants it to be normal and exclusive to just them.”

The outlet’s dubious “source” goes on to claim that Swift and Aniston have “both done an amazing job at keeping their love life away from the limelight,” and Gomez is “desperate” to know their secret. “She’s talked about it with the girls,” and asked them “how they make it work with their guys,” purports the site’s alleged insider. But, as Gossip Cop has mentioned before, the site often has no real sources or evidence to back up its made-up stories. It’s the reason people often refer to the outlet as HollywoodLies.

In the real world, however, an actual Gomez insider assures Gossip Cop that the webloid’s latest report is simply “not true.” While no one is entirely certain or would ever divulge what Gomez discusses with her closest friends in private, we’re fairly confident HollywoodLife wouldn’t be the first outlet to have “exclusive” information about it. The simple truth is no one from Gomez’s trusted inner circle is talking to that site, which she herself has publicly called “the worst.”

Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time Gossip Cop has busted HollywoodLies for fabricating stories about Gomez’s relationship with The Weeknd. Earlier this week, we corrected the outlet for wrongly claiming The Weeknd was helping Gomez feel “more confident” in her career. That was completely made-up, and the same goes for this latest piece of fiction.
