Scott Disick and Sofia Richie are planning a New Year's wedding and are trying for a baby? That's the rumor in one tabloid this week. Gossip Cop found the story to be nonsense.
Star claims Richie is "itching to get hitched" to Disick in order to start a family together. "Sofia wants to be a young mom and start having kids right away," a supposed "pal" tells the the tabloid. "In fact, nobody would be surprised if Scott and Sofia are already trying for a baby behind closed doors."
Interestingly enough, Star doubles down on its previously wrong report about Disick proposing to Richie on her birthday in August, but even emphasizes yet again that that two are hiding the engagement news from Disick's ex and mother of his children, Kourtney Kardashian. Once they figure out how to break the news to her, the tabloid says, they'll proceed with their plans.
"Sofia's been texting Scott screengrabs of wedding rings and wedding venues," yet another "friend" spills. "Word is, they're talking about having a New Year's ceremony in Malibu with fireworks!" The supposed source also adds that the couple does in fact plan to invite Kardashian to the ceremony.
"Scott was never the marrying kind, but he's fallen hard for Sofia and will do anything to make her happy," the alleged insider concludes. "Meanwhile, Sofia's ready to put down some serious roots — and Scott seems keen as well."
Gossip Cop ran the story by Disick's spokesperson, who brushed it off entirely. The whole thing is just made-up drama about the couple. As we explained when the tabloid initially published the bogus story about Richie's birthday proposal, the two aren't engaged and it's absurd to believe they're worrying about Kardashian's response to their relationship.
It is interesting, however, that the outlet is willing to reference and stand by its past article about the proposal, but completely ignore its previous "report" about Disick and Richie splitting because he refused to have more kids and wasn't looking for a serious relationship. That article was in April, so we imagine in a few more months, the tabloid will turn around and begin proclaiming that the two are separating again.
Additionally, the tabloid specifically refers to Disick as never being "the marrying kind," most likely because he never actually proposed to Kardashian during their relationship. However, Disick had in fact planned on proposing to Kardashian while filming Kourtney and Kim Take New York in 2011 and had even selected a ring for her — not exactly the actions of someone opposed to marriage. Once he discovered that she wasn't interested in walking down the aisle, he decided not to go forward with the proposal.
Gossip Cop also busted Star in 2018 for a phony story about Disick secretly dating Khloe Kardashian. We also debunked their claims about Kourtney telling Disick to stay away from their kids. Not only has the tabloid proved itself ignorant of Disick and Richie's relationship, it doesn't even know anything about Disick's current relationship with his ex.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
