Scott Disick did not have nor plans to have a baby with Sofia Richie, as a way to get back at the Kardashians, despite a report from exactly one year ago today that claimed he wanted "revenge" on the reality TV family. Gossip Cop shot down that untrue tale 12 months ago, and it remains false to this day. As we noted back then, Richie and Disick were not looking to start a family, and he wasn't interested in settling some score.

On October 16, 2017, OK! ran an article that contended Disick wanted to get under Kourtney Kardashian's skin, and so he decided he would have a baby with his then 19-year-old girlfriend. Oddly in that same story, however, a so-called "source" was quoted as contradictorily asserting Disick's "not actively trying to get Sofia pregnant." As we pointed out a year ago, if the reality star was "not actively trying" to have a baby with Richie, how exactly does that work with the magazine's premise of him planning a "revenge pregnancy"?

The tabloid's report also alleged he was angered by the Kardashians having "cut him out of their circle." But far from being "cut out" by the them, Disick is always included in the family's gatherings. For instance, in August, Disick joined Kourtney, Kim and Khloe Kardashian, as well as Kendall and Kris Jenner for Kylie's 21st birthday dinner at Craig's in L.A. And a little more than two weeks ago, Disick and Kourtney flew to New York for a family trip with their kids.

Clearly, the publication's story was 100 percent untrue. Disick has not been "cut" from the family. Nor did he a baby with Richie for "revenge" or any other reason. The idea that Disick, who's already responsible for three kids, would bring another child into this world, just to teach the Kardashians a lesson, is beyond preposterous.

In the intervening 365 days, the magazine hasn't gotten much better with its stories about him. Just a month after that report, the outlet asserted Disick was pushing Richie to get engaged, but she was "freaking out." Yet we're supposed to believe she had no problem simply having a baby with him out of spite?

The reason Gossip Cop revisits stories like Disick wanting to have a baby with Richie to get "revenge" on the Kardashians is to show how over time certain articles don't hold up, while our reporting does. The tabloids print a lot of fiction, but we strive to give our readers just the facts.

Our Verdict

Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
