RadarOnline is flip-flopping after wrongly claiming Scott Disick and Sofia Richie split. After the couple were seen together twice this week, the webloid is now backtracking on its breakup allegations. Gossip Cop can expose the original falsehoods and new cover-up.
Last Friday, December 1, the site announced in a headline, "It's Over! Scott Disick Dumps Sofia Richie — Inside Their Bitter Breakup." The accompanying story declared the couple was "officially over," and quoted a so-called "source" as saying, "Scott was just tired of Sofia's childish games and he obviously is still not over Kourtney [Kardashian]." This supposed snitch added, "Scott just realized that he got into it for all the wrong reasons."
But on Wednesday, Disick and Richie were photographed lounging in Miami Beach. And that night, they made their first official appearance as a couple, posing together at a party for DuJour magazine. People even reported that Richie and Disick were seen "kissing all night." Clearly, there wasn't a split and Disick hasn't "tired" of the younger star.
So now on Thursday, December 7, nearly a week after falsely claiming they broke up, RadarOnline has a new headline stating, "GOING STRONG: Scott & Sofia Take Miami! Couple Is Back On Amid Rocky Relationship Rumors." It wasn't just "rocky relationship rumors." The blog flat-out insisted that Disick had "dumped" Richie. How to explain that? Well, the outlet is trying to cover up its mistake by maintaining it was right about the relationship ending, but the pair "settled their differences and decided to reconcile." Sure.
The online publication goes on to assert, "As is clear in recent photos from their Miami getaway, the duo is back on and going strong." But they aren't "back on" because they were never "off." Gossip Cop suspects the webloid jumped to the wrong conclusions after Disick and Richie didn't spend Thanksgiving together. And, based on a lack of sightings, the site announced a breakup. But it's assumption was erroneous, and now this follow-up story is about doing damage control.
None of this is to say Richie and Disick are a rock-solid pairing who will go the distance. They may very well call it quits. But RadarOnline is not a reliable outlet for relationship updates. This is the same publication that wrongly said last year Tobey Maguire was "moving on" from his marital separation by sparking up a romance with Richie. More recently, just over a month ago, the blog peddled a story about Disick wanting to have a baby with Richie... only to then say he "dumped" her... only to now say they "reconciled." It's obvious from the inaccuracies and inconsistencies that the webloid just doesn't know what it's talking about.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
