A new report claims Kourtney Kardashian has banned Scott Disick from seeing their three young kids following his psychiatric hold last month. Gossip Cop looked into this story, and we've exclusively learned it's simply inaccurate.
Disick was involuntarily hospitalized in Los Angeles on August 18 after being placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold, which allows for a person to be mentally evaluated against their will. Details surrounding the event are murky, but the reality star was reportedly transported from his home to a nearby hospital, where Kardashian later visited him.
RadarOnline is now exploiting the situation with a headline blaring, "Last Straw! Kourtney Bans Scott From Kids After Bombshell Breakdown & Hospitalization." The accompanying article claims Kardashian has "taken drastic measures to protect" her three children, Mason, Penelope and Reign, by taking them away "from their out-of-control [dad]."
A so-called "source" tells the site, "Kourtney isn't going to give him anything more than just supervised visits with the kids." The untrustworthy blog also says Kardashian "re-evaluated their parenting plan and yanked any privileges he had earned." The outlet's dubious insider then goes on to say Disick isn't too concerned because he "doesn't want custody of the kids" and "leaves that all up to Kourtney."
Unfortunately for the website, most of this report is provably untrue. Disick was spotted having lunch alone with 2-year-old son Reign at the end of August, nearly two weeks after his hospitalization. Earlier this week, the reality star was out solo in Los Angeles with 7-year-old Mason and 5-year-old Penelope. Although the children are under Kardashian's care the majority of the time, the outlet's assertion that Disick has been banned from seeing them is patently untrue. A source close to the Kardashians also tells Gossip Cop that Disick hasn't been prohibited from being with his kids.
Of course, RadarOnline isn't the best source when it comes to getting accurate news about Disick and the rest of the Kardashian clan. Gossip Cop previously busted the site for falsely claiming Disick has had sex with most of the Kardashian sisters. Shortly after that nonsense, we corrected the webloid for wrongly reporting Kardashian was pregnant with her and Disick's fourth child. This latest article surrounding the reality star's recent mental health issues is equally untrue.
Gossip Cop believes there to be elements of truth, but the story is ultimately misleading.
