Sandra Bullock is not adopting a third child at this time, according to her rep. Gossip Cop can explain what's going on. A new tabloid report claims the Oscar winner has "plans to expand her brood," but her spokesperson denies this is true.

The story can be found in the latest edition of OK!, which alleges Bullock has "recently taken steps to initiate her third adoption." The star is already mom to son Louis and daughter Laila, whom she is raising with partner Bryan Randall. Amid this purported "secret baby joy," a so-called "source" is quoted as saying, "Sandra's been aching to adopt again, and she's thrilled that Bryan will be a part of it." The outlet's supposed snitch goes on to contend, "Bryan has been keeping Sandy's spirits up throughout the adoption process."

Clearly, this specious "source" can't decide if Bullock is "Sandra" or "Sandy." There's additional reason to be suspicious of this tale. The gossip magazine claims "there's some buzz in the actress' inner circle" that she and Randall "may have tied the knot." According to the publication, they "quietly said 'I do' in an intimate ceremony" near Bullock's Wyoming home earlier this year. "Word is it was just them and their children on a small farm," asserts the alleged tipster.

But by using the phrase "word is," this "source" shows he or she has no firsthand knowledge of this supposed wedding. Additionally, the tabloid itself proves it has no direct confirmation by referring to "buzz" and "whispers." And the magazine fails to mention that Bullock's rep told People last month that she and Randall are "not married." Now the spokesperson is also denying that she has plans to welcome a third child at this time.

Of course, fans may remember that Bullock denied adopting a second child in the fall of 2015. Two months later, however, Bullock revealed she adopted daughter Laila in a People cover story. That said, in addition to her spokesperson's current denial about expanding her family once more, E! Online reported last summer in a story about Bullock and her kids that she wasn't looking to welcome a third child "anytime soon." It was noted, "Bryan and Sandy are pretty cool with their full house."

It's also worth mentioning that OK! claimed last October that Bullock was adopting a baby. Gossip Cop busted that report when it came out, and so far, time has proven it's indeed untrue. Should the star's family end up growing in the future, we'll certainly update. But as of now, Bullock's rep is denying another child is on the way.

Our Verdict

Gossip Cop believes there to be elements of truth, but the story is ultimately misleading.
